My name is Cheuk Chan. I am a 5th year undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Student in University of California, San Diego. In this website, I am talking about all my projects I have done in my college life. I also talk about the experience and skills I had learned in these projects.

 

I am originally from Hong Kong. I immigrated to the US with my family in 2010. Before moving to the US, I just finished the 3-year International Accounting certificate program in Shanghai, China after high school. Since I was not very interested in Accounting, I chose to get an engineering degree which is very different from Accounting. In Spring 2011, I started studying in a community college, Laney College, in Oakland, CA where was the first city we lived in. In Fall 2013, I transferred to University of California, San Diego to continue my study. Before studying in a 4-year university, I did not know too much about Mechanical Engineering and the differences among all the engineering majors. Throughout these years and the projects I had worked on, I have been knowing a lot more about my major and I have been sure that I chose a right major for myself.

 

This website is a showcase of all the projects I have worked on and I would like people to know what I have learned and accompolished in college. This website is also showing what the ideas behind this projects, the processes I had gone through and the lessons I learned in these projects. Through these projects, I have been enhancing my interest in Manufacturing field and I will work on more projects in order to achieve my goal.

 

In the "Home" tab, there are snapshots of all the projects and a brief descriptions about them. There is a link under each pictures to lead you to the blog post about that specific project.

 

In the "Blog" tab, there are blog posts about all the projects I had done in college. I talk about the background, the description, the priniciple of the project and the lesson I had lenrned through these projects. There are images and youtube videos to give you more information and detail about the projects. There is also a critique post which talks about choosing two popular microprocessors, Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone Black, for some personal projects

 

 

In the "Contact" tab, you can leave me a message or send me an email about your thought, comment or interest of the contents of this website. I would appreciate all the feedback to make this website better.
